Music
The whole school music programme is up and running with each class receiving a 45 minute lesson each week. Year 7s can already tell you what the literal translation of the Japanese ‘Taiko’ drum is and are beginning to compose rhythms of their own. Year 8s have remembered their music theory and are ready to begin working in pairs on original keyboard compositions. As assessment will be complete by the end of week 4, those students needing extension or some extra help will be identified quickly to ensure maximum musical achievement.
