Japanese
In 2010 every student is offered the opportunity to study Japanese with Mr Yamada. Students study an adapted form of sign language in order to learn phrases and words kinetically. Lessons focus on time, days of the week, the parallels between Japan and China, daily activities and plans for the weekend. Students will eventually make a video to send to a sister school entitled ‘A Day In The Life Of a New Zealand Student’ and role play greetings and introductions.
