Virtues Project
Virtues Programme:
The four C’s
At Hastings Intermediate we value traditional social skills and virtues essential for developing the successful citizens of tomorrow. After consultation with our school community we have identified four particular virtues that we have embedded into our school Charter and programme. They are:
Term One: Courtesy – valuing respect, manners, caring for ourselves and others.
Term Two: Commitment – valuing perseverance, steadfastness and responsibility.
Term Three: Courage – valuing giving things a go, supporting each other and self confidence.
Term Four: Co operation – valuing working together, shared success and vision.
Each of these virtues is the focus area for student reward and is supported by classroom curriculum programmes that are standardised across the school. School leaders work to model and reinforce these virtues which are promoted almost daily throughout the school.
