Opening Hours

School starts at 8.40am and finishes at 3pm.

Cafeteria

Students can order their lunch daily from a changing menu of healthy lunches.  Additional snacks and drinks may be purchased during interval and lunch time.

Fruit in Schools

As part of our health promotion and fresh tastes programme we are part of the fruit in schools initiative.  Fresh fruit is delivered to the school and distributed to the classes.  Students are able to help themselves to a variety of quality fresh fruit during interval and lunch time.

Fees

Costs associated with attendance at Hastings Intermediate School

Technology Charge - $50  To offset cost of materials.  

Voluntary Payment -$30  (or $50 per family)

Paper Charge  -           $10

We encourage parents/caregivers to pay by automatic payment if this option helps with household budgeting.

Camps

Overnight school camps will take place between weeks 3 and 8 of term one.  The cost of this trip will be approximately $80 per year 8 student and $50 per year 7 student.  Year 7 students are staying at Waipataki Beach and Year 8 will be staying at Wakarawa.
